American actress Alison Brie Schermerhorn was born on December 29, 1982. Her breakout performance was in the drama series Mad Men (2007–2015), where she played Trudy Campbell. For the part, she was recognized with a Screen Actors Guild Award. Her roles as Annie Edison on the sitcom Community (2009–2015) and as Diane Nguyen’s voice in the animated comedy series BoJack Horseman (2014–2020) brought her notoriety. She was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and two Critics’ Choice Awards for her role as Ruth Wilder in the comedy-drama series GLOW (2017–2019).
Apart from her TV roles, Brie has acted in movies including Promising Young Woman (2020), Happiest Season (2020), How to Be Single (2016), The Post (2017), The Little Hours (2017), The Lego Movie (2014), The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019), Scream 4 (2011), and The Five-Year Engagement (2012). Early Life
Alison On December 29, 1982, in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles, California, Brie Schermerhorn was born.Charles Terry Schermerhorn, her father, is a freelance entertainment reporter as well as a musician. Her mother, Joanne Brenner, is employed by the nonprofit childcare organization Para los Niños (“For the Children”). Lauren is the name of her elder sister. The mother of Brie is Jewish. Her father is of Scottish, English, and Dutch descent and was brought up a Catholic. Her parents split when she was young, although she and her father occasionally went to the Self-Realization Fellowship, a “Christian-Hindu hybrid church”. In 2001, she received her diploma from South Pasadena High School. She performed as a clown for kids’ birthday parties over the summer that between her high school and college careers.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in drama from the California Institute of the Arts in 2005. She studied for a year in Glasgow at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Career
In Southern California, at the Jewish Community Center, Brie made her theatrical debut. In the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana, she played a rookie hairdresser named Nina in her debut television appearance in 2006. As Trudy Campbell in the AMC historical drama series Mad Men (2007–2015), she was further recognized and honored with the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She then became the lead actress in the 2008–2009 online series My Alibi.
She played Annie Edison on the NBC/Yahoo! View comedy Community from 2009 to 2015. For the show, she received two nominations for an Entertainment Weekly Award and was nominated for a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She co-hosted an episode of Attack of the Show! in April 2010 (and again in March 2011), and she made an appearance on Web Soup. She starred in the comedy Montana Amazon (2010).Brie debuted at number 99 on Maxim magazine’s 2010 Hot 100 list and debuted at number 49 on their 2011 list.In 2013, readers of FHM ranked her as the 57th Sexiest Woman in the World. Brie played prominent roles in a number of films, such as Suzie Barnes in the romantic comedy The Five-Year Engagement (2012) and Rebecca Walters, Sidney Prescott’s assistant in the slasher horror thriller Scream 4 (2011). In the ninth season of the animated television series American Dad!, she voiced a character in an episode and played Princess Unikitty in the animated comedy The Lego Movie (2014).
Brie became a cast member of the August 22 premiere of BoJack Horseman on Netflix in June 2014. Since then, she has provided the voices for several characters, such as Vincent Adultman, a recurrent character, and Diane Nguyen, the main character. Using performances of “Shoop” by Salt-N-Pepa and “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj, she competed in Lip Sync Battle and defeated Will Arnett.
Personal Life
After meeting Dave Franco during a New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration in 2011, Brie started dating him in 2012. It was reported on August 25, 2015, that they had been engaged. On March 13, 2017, they tied the knot. During a 2017 interview with Larry King, she expressed her desire to avoid having children.
